The DeVries Story
The smell of freshly cut grass, the scent of perennials in bloom, the sight of healthy, green lawns, the warm glow from a home newly decorated with Christmas lighting—these are just a few of the perks of my job.
Occasionally I am reminded that I’ve been in business for nearly 40 years. Sometimes I wonder where the time went, but mostly I reflect upon how fortunate I am to spend my life in a business that allows us to create and maintain really beautiful landscapes for so many people.
I would be remiss if I did not give credit where credit is due. Our employees are one-of-a-kind. You will not experience such friendly, caring and professional people anyplace else. And that is true from Shellee, who takes your phone call, to Troy, our Weed Man team leader, to Dave, an exceptionally skilled employee in our gardening department, to Harry, our full time mechanic who always has something funny to say (even while fixing a snowplow truck at 2:00 a.m.).
